The Castello della Crescenza was built 1000 years ago by the Crescenzi family to serve as a fortress against invasions into their lands. The basic structure of the castle has remained inaltered throughout the years and many of the original features such as harmours, stone fireplaces, staircases and paintings are still present. Princess Sofia Borghese and her familily lived there until 1997 when the castle was first rented out for wedding ceremonies and receptions.
